Peanut Butter Recall Broadens
Jan 30th, 2009 | By Ed Wallis | Category: Food IllnessThe peanut producer linked to a nationwide outbreak of salmonella contamination on Wednesday expanded its recall to all products made since the beginning of 2007, the New York Times reports. The Peanut Corporation of America has already recalled more than 400 products following eight deaths and more than 500 salmonella-related illnesses. On Tuesday, federal health regulators said a Peanut Corporation plant in Georgia knowingly shipped contaminated products at least a dozen times during 2007 and 2008.
